IMPORTANT NOTICE: 18+ AGE RESTRICTED ITEMS - CHANGES TO SALES AND DELIVERIES (click to expand)

Due to new UK laws, all knives, including cutlery knives, are now 18+ Age Restricted Items which cannot be sold or delivered in the UK to anyone under the age of 18. Age Verification will now take place on all sales and deliveries of 18+ Age Restricted Items.

Initial age verification takes place during the order process but if unsuccessful, we will email you a unique link or alternatively ask for ID to show you are aged 18 or over. Please check your emails after purchase just in case you need to provide additional proof of age. Any delays in the age verification process may cause delays to the completion of your order. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If your order contains an 18+ Age Restricted Item

DPD will NO LONGER deliver 18+ Age Restricted Items to the following options:

  • DPD ‘Drop-off shop’
  • Leave with neighbour
  • Leave in a safe place
  • Deliver to locker

 

DPD will send an SMS delivery notification to your UK mobile phone number with the details of your delivery date/time. So that you can easily arrange a convenient delivery date and time, we suggest downloading the DPD App, which allows you to edit your delivery date and time and to communicate with the DPD delivery driver if required.

When delivering orders which contain 18+ Age Restricted Items, DPD will require Age Verification from the named recipient at the point of delivery to your home.

DPD will use ‘Think 25’ which means if the person taking the delivery looks younger than 25, they will be asked to provide ID proving they are aged 18 or over.

Please understand that you will need to be available to provide the relevant information. If you are not available, your order will be returned to Robert Welch Designs.

The DPD driver will only attempt delivery of an Age Restricted Item ONCE.

For the best possible delivery experience, we recommend downloading the DPD app, if you haven’t already.  The app will enable you to pinpoint your exact location to help the driver find your property and other features include live tracking, a ‘30-minutes away’ alert, notification of when you are 'next to be delivered to' and much more.
